717.16 WELL ABANDONMENT.

In the event that a well is abandoned it shall be the duty of the owner or lessee to notify the Director of Public Service and Safety of such abandonment and the Director shall cause the same to be indicated on the map provided at the time of the original application. All permittees shall be required to pull and/or plug a well site on abandonment, as required by any rules or regulations promulgated by any department or division of the State relative to pulling and plugging of oil or gas wells.
