(A) Establishment. There is established the position of City Attorney.
(B) Appointment and qualifications. The City Attorney shall be appointed by the Mayor. He or she shall be an attorney duly licensed to practice law within the state, maintaining a practice in the county, and possessing experience in the field of municipal law.
(C) Duties. The duties of the City Attorney shall be as set forth in the contract for services executed between the city and the City Attorney.
(D) Compensation. The compensation of the City Attorney shall be in accordance with the terms of the contract approved by the City Council.
