For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
DANGEROUS DOG.
(1) Any dog that bites (to the extent of puncturing or severely bruising the skin), inflicts injury, assaults, or otherwise attacks a human being or domestic animal without provocation on public or private property;
(2) A dog that is primarily used for fighting dogs; or
(3) A dog that, without provocation, has chased or approached a person on the streets, sidewalks, or any public place in a menacing fashion or with an apparent attitude of attack.
DOG. Any member of the canine family, six months of age or over, male or female.
