§ 51.056 TAMPERING WITH METERS PROHIBITED.
   It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to tamper with, break, mutilate, alter, or change any water meter installed by or belonging to the city, the purpose of the meter being to measure the amount of water used by the water users of the city so that the customers can be properly billed for the same. It shall also be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to park any motor vehicle over water meters or place any obstruction of any kind over water meters which would in any way prevent the meter from being accurately read, or which would impair the function of the meters. It shall further be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to turn any of the meters on or off. It shall also be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to remove, cut, mutilate, or tamper with any locking device placed on the meter by or belonging to the city to prevent usage of said meter.
