§ 5. RECREATION PARK DIRECTOR.
   (A)   Code number. 7001.
   (B)   Class title. Recreation Park Director.
   (C)   Characteristics of the class. Under general executive and legislative direction, administers and coordinates all phases of the city recreation park. Prepares and submits monthly reports to the City Council during normal operational season.
   (D)   Examples of duties. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates the activities and programs of the recreation park; formulates policies, procedures, rules, and regulations following consultation with higher authority; keeps and maintains property of the recreation park including grounds (consisting of mowing, painting, and the like); organizes teams and tournaments; operates recreation park concession; collects fees and other charges turning same into City Clerk’s office; submits all invoices and bills pertaining to the recreation park to the City Clerk for payment; serves as immediate supervisor of personnel designated to the recreation park, including summer youth workers.
   (E)   Position qualifications.
      (1)   Training and experience. Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
      (2)   Special knowledge, skills, and abilities. Considerable knowledge of sports activities including standard safety rules and practices; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other officials, and the general public; integrity, tact, diplomacy, patience, thoroughness, sound judgment, impartiality.
