The transportation of hazardous chemicals and other dangerous articles by motor vehicles shall comply with U.S. Government and Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) regulations. Upon request by the Chief of the Bureau of Fire Prevention, persons who regularly or frequently transport hazardous chemicals or other dangerous articles through or within the City shall submit a list of dangerous chemicals or other dangerous articles shipped and the routes used in their transport. The Chief of the Bureau shall have the authority to designate a different route if he or she determines that the route indicated poses an unreasonable risk to the public safety, considering the substances transported.
