(a) Unless otherwise provided, every habitable room shall have one or more windows, opening directly on a street or yard, not less than four feet wide, or on a court conforming to the requirements of this Building and Housing Code.
(b) Ceiling heights for habitable rooms shall be not less than the following:
(1) For residential occupancy for living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens, over not less than seven-eighths of the required area for each room - 7 ft. 8 in.
(2) For sleeping rooms and bathrooms, over not less than seven-eighths of the required floor area of each room - 7 ft. 6 in.
(3) For other rooms used for residential occupancy - 7 ft. 0 in.
