(a) Joists and beams resting on masonry walls shall be securely anchored to such walls at intervals not to exceed six feet by metal anchors not less than one-quarter inch by one and one-quarter inch, sixteen inches long, securely anchored to the wall and the lower part of the joists.
(b) Girders shall be similarly anchored.
(c) Where wood joists, beams or other horizontal members run parallel to masonry walls, such members shall be supported in a similar manner at intervals not to exceed eight feet and shall engage not less than three joints, beams or other members.
