(a) Signs and outdoor advertising displays shall be constructed of approved materials as hereinafter prescribed in this chapter and as provided for elsewhere in this Building and Housing Code.
(b) Signs and outdoor advertising displays shall be constructed and erected of such materials and in such a manner that the construction, supports and bracing thereof will safely support the weight of such signs or outdoor advertising displays and all other anticipated loads which may come upon the same, and resist the wind pressure, as provided for in Chapter 1444 and the Ohio Building Code, without exceeding the stresses permitted in this Building and Housing Code for the materials used.
