In all buildings in which standpipes are required by law or this Building and Housing Code, they shall be installed as the construction progresses, in such a manner that they are always ready for Fire Division use to the topmost floor of the construction that has been installed. Standpipes shall be provided with a Fire Division connection on the outside of the building at the street level, and with one outlet at each floor. All outlets, connections and fittings shall be designed to fit Fire Division equipment and fittings.
