1452.07 TEMPORARY FENCES.
   During a building operation where work is carried on or material is stored at or near a street or alley line in such manner that a hazard is or will be caused thereby to those using the street or alley, the owner or person performing or causing such building operation shall erect and maintain along such street and alley lines, during the building operation, a substantial tight board fence not less than seven feet high. Such fence shall not extend into a street or alley except when, and to not more than the extent, approved by the Director of Public Service, nor until a permit for the use of the street space enclosed and occupied by the fence has been procured from the Director. Such fence shall be built solid for its full length, except for such openings as may be necessary for a proper prosecution of the work. The opening shall be provided with sliding doors or doors which swing inward and not over a public walk.
