1442.11 ACCEPTABLE SAFETY AND ENGINEERING PRACTICE; STANDARDS.
   In the absence of specific requirements or approved rules in this chapter, compliance with the codes or standards listed in the Ohio Building Code shall be considered acceptable safety and engineering practice, and shall be deemed to conform to the requirements of this chapter. Decisions of the Division of Building and Zoning Inspection in matters not specifically covered by this chapter shall conform to the minimum requirements adopted for the protection of the health, welfare and safety of the community and may be appealed to the Board of Zoning and Building Appeals.
   In all cases where specific publications are referred to above and elsewhere in this chapter, it shall be understood to refer to the latest revisions or editions of such publications.
