1436.06 STANDPIPE TESTING.
   (a)   Upon the completion of a standpipe installation, and at least once every two years thereafter, every standpipe shall be tested by a testing or inspection agency approved by the Fire Chief, and a written report of the result of such test shall be signed by an authorized representative of such testing or inspection agency and furnished to the Chief within thirty days after such test is made.
   (b)   The test shall consist of a static pressure test, with all outlets closed, equivalent to the designed pressure due to the height of the standpipe. Flow tests shall also be made to prove that the standpipe, line valves, check valves and Siamese connections are free from obstructions and workable, and that the fire pump is in good condition.
