1426.16 PERMITS FOR WORK REQUIRING SPECIAL SUPERVISION.
Whenever the work covered by a permit involves construction under conditions which, in the opinion of the Superintendent of Building and Zoning Inspection, are hazardous or complex, or for other good reason required special supervision, the Superintendent may require that the architect or engineer who affixed his or her seal to, or who made the plans or computations, shall supervise such work, be responsible for its conformity with the approved plans, and forthwith, upon its completion, make and file with the Superintendent a written certification that the work has been done in conformity with the approved plans and with the structural requirements of this Building and Housing Code. If any architect or engineer is not available for such supervision and certification, the owner of the building or structure in question shall employ, in his or her stead, another architect or engineer.
