1426.10 APPLICATION AND PLAN EXAMINATION; APPROVAL.
   The Superintendent of Building and Zoning Inspection shall examine, or cause to be examined, each application for a permit and the plans, specifications and computations which may be submitted therewith, and it shall be determined by such examination whether the matter mentioned in the application and indicated, described and determined in the plans, specifications and computations, is in accord with the requirements of this Building and Housing Code and all other pertinent laws and ordinances. However, if the plans and specifications submitted for approval bear the seal of a registered architect or of a registered engineer, showing that a responsible person has prepared or supervised the preparation of the plans and specifications, the Superintendent may accept the plans and specifications, certified by the architect or engineer, as complying with the requirements of this Building and Housing Code pertaining to design loads, stresses, strains, strengths and stability. If the Superintendent is satisfied that the plans and other matter submitted therewith conform to the requirements of this Building and Housing Code and other pertinent laws and ordinances, he or she shall endorse in writing, or stamp, both sets of plans "Approved", and such approval shall bear the signature of the employee of the Division of Building and Zoning Inspection who checked the plans and other matter submitted therewith.
