1422.20 PERMIT REVOCATION AND POSTING; FURTHER WORK PROHIBITED.
   The Superintendent of Building and Zoning Inspection may revoke a permit or approval, issued under the provisions of this Building and Housing Code, in case there has been any false statements or misrepresentation as to a material fact in the application or plans on which the permit or approval was based. Written notice of such revocation, signed by the Superintendent, shall be mailed to the address of the owner as given in the application for the permit or in a case when the owner is out of the City, or, after reasonable search, cannot be located, such notice shall be handed to or mailed to his or her agent or contractor, and revocation shall be posted on the premises where the permit is required to be posted. No person shall perform any work in or about a building or structure after the revocation of the permit therefore and the posting of the notice thereof, except to perform such work as may be required for the correcting of the existing violations and for the protection of completed work pending an appeal of such revocation.
