The Superintendent of Building and Zoning Inspection shall be the active head of the Division of Building and Zoning Inspection and he or she shall have the management of all matters and affairs pertaining thereto. For the application and enforcement of this Building and Housing Code, other ordinances of the City and regulations and laws of the State, assigned to the Superintendent for enforcement, he or she may assign any duties and authority provided to him or her under such ordinances, regulations or law, to any duly appointed employee of the Division of Building and Zoning Inspection. The Superintendent may alter assignments of duties and authority as he or she deems best for the efficiency and proper operation of the Division.
