The invalidity of any section of this Building and Housing Code, or of any provision of such Code, shall not invalidate any other section or provision thereof, but the invalid part shall be separated from the remainder of the Building and Housing Code by the court holding the same invalid, and the remainder shall be effective. The invalidity of any provision in any section of this Building and Housing Code in its application to existing buildings and structures shall not be held to affect the validity of such provision in its application to buildings and structures hereafter erected.
