(a) No person shall install or have installed any alarm system within the City unless a valid permit for such system, issued under the provisions of this chapter, is in effect.
(b) No person shall continue the operation of an alarm system already in existence on the effective date of this chapter (Ordinance 3-1986, passed February 24, 1986) unless a valid permit for such system has been issued under the provisions of this chapter within forty-five days after the effective date of this chapter.
(c) Permits issued under this chapter shall be issued by the Chief of Police or the Fire Chief, depending upon the nature of the permit application.
