(a) There is hereby established in and for the City, pursuant to Section 5.08 of the City Charter, the Department of Community Development, which Department shall consist of a Director, whose duties shall be as prescribed by Section 5.08C. of the City Charter, and such other personnel as may be authorized by Council or as assigned for ad hoc duties by the Mayor.
(b) The Department shall pursue and accomplish the duties of the Director in accordance with Section 5.08 of the City Charter. Specifically, the Department shall provide planning advice and coordination and promotion for the Municipality, in order to enhance and attract orderly and beneficial growth in the Municipality.
