A. Appointment: There is hereby created the position of zoning enforcement officer, who shall be appointed by the president, with the consent of the board of trustees. (1966 Code § 58; amd. 2013 Code)
B. Powers And Duties:
1. Inspection And Enforcement: It shall be the duty of the zoning enforcement officer to see to the enforcement of all ordinance provisions relating to building, plumbing or zoning and to inspect all buildings or structures being erected or altered, as frequently as may be necessary, to ensure compliance with village ordinances. 2. Entry Powers: The zoning enforcement officer shall have the power to make, or cause to be made, an entry into any building or premises where the work of altering, repairing, or constructing any building or structure is going on, for the purpose of making inspections, at any reasonable hour.
