6-1-6: BICYCLES, SKATES AND TOY VEHICLES:
   A.   Prohibited Use: It shall be unlawful and no person shall operate, ride, or use in-line skates, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, or toy riding vehicles on:
      1.   Any sidewalk or public area within the village on or adjacent to:
         a.   Mill Street between Canal Street and Grove Street; and
         b.   All park shelters located anywhere on public property within the village, or the concrete immediately surrounding said shelters.
      2.   Any public or private property where a sign has been posted at the entrance or displayed prominently on the property prohibiting the use of in-line skates, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, and/or toy riding vehicles.
      3.   Any place in the village in such a manner as to be dangerous to persons or property.
   B.   Reflective Clothing Required At Night: No person shall operate, ride, or use in-line skates, roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, or toy riding vehicles on any public right of way or public property in the village, including, but not limited to, streets, sidewalks, and parks, during the nighttime after sunset and before sunrise without wearing reflective clothing or reflective items. Such reflective clothing shall be adequate to reflect brightly the headlights from a motor vehicle, and the wearer shall have at least one item of reflective clothing visible from in front and one visible from in back. In lieu of any item of reflective clothing, the wearer may wear any device or decoration that is adequate to reflect such lights brightly.
   C.   Penalty: Any person violating this section shall be subject to punishment of a fine not less than ten dollars ($10.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100.00) for each offense. (Ord. 2005-40, 10-12-2005)
