5-1-1: CREATION OF DEPARTMENT; COMPOSITION:
There is hereby created a police department, an executive department of the village. The police department shall consist of the chief of police and such other members as may be provided from time to time by the president and board of trustees. (1966 Code § 39; amd. 2013 Code)
