§ 57.52 PERMIT REQUIRED; APPLICATION.
   No person shall install, alter, repair or extend an individual water system in the city if connection to the city water system is available. If connection to the city water system is unavailable, no person shall install, alter, repair or extend an individual water system without first obtaining a permit therefor from the City Engineer. If improvements to an individual water system, to the lot on which the system lies, to the structures which utilize the system or any other activity requiring a permit, variance or other review by the city are required or desired, arrangements must be made to connect with the city water system, if available, in accordance with this chapter. If connection to the city water supply system will replace an individual water supply system, the individual water supply system must be abandoned in accordance with practices approved by Ramsey County and the Minnesota Health Department.
