§ 156.999 PENALTY; ADDITIONAL REMEDIES.
   (A)   Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or who resists the enforcement of any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined not more than $500 and the cost of prosecution, for each offense. Each day that the violation continues shall constitute a separate offense.
   (B)   In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or a building, structure or land is used in violation of this chapter, the city, in addition to other remedies, may institute appropriate action or proceedings to prevent the unlawful erection, alteration, maintenance or use, or to correct or abate the violations, or to prevent the occupancy of the building, structure or land.
