§ 33.01 MAXIMUM TERM OF SERVICE.
   (A)   Generally. No member of any city commission or board may serve more than 2 full terms if the appointment is for a period of 5 years or more, nor shall any member serve more than 3 full terms if the appointment is for less than 5 years.
   (B)   Specific boards and commissions.
      (1)   No person appointed by the Mayor and Council to the Planning Commission shall serve on a board or commission for more than 3 consecutive full terms of the board or commission.
      (2)   No person appointed by the Mayor and Council to the Civil Service Commission shall serve on a board, commission or authority for more than 2 consecutive full terms on the board, commission or authority.
      (3)   When a member of a board, commission or authority is originally appointed by the Mayor and Council to fill a vacancy that occurs during the term of an appointment, the appointment shall not be considered as being for a full term.
      (4)   Present members of the Library Board, Planning Commission, Civil Service Commission and Urban Renewal Authority shall not be eligible for reappointment when their present terms expire if they shall have served on the board or commission the maximum period of time as specified in this section.
