The Mayor, by and with the consent of a majority of the Council, shall appoint a Library Director. The duties of the Library Director shall be to direct, plan, organize and control the activities and business of the city’s public library, according to the accepted principles of library management and subject to administrative direction. The Library Director shall perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Mayor and Council.
