§ 32.36 DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR.
   The Development Director shall be responsible for the acceptance, processing, analysis and presentation of all applications for zone changes, conditional use permits and subdivision maps for the city’s Planning Commission. He or she shall be an ex officio member of the city’s Planning Commission for liaison purposes and shall serve as chief staff advisor to the Commission on all planning matters. He or she shall also be responsible for the preparation and presentation of plans and maps for the physical development of the whole or any portion of the city, including any areas outside its boundaries which, in the judgment of the Commission, bear relation to the planning of the city. In addition, he or she shall be responsible for the coordination of all opinions and recommendations regarding the planning matters described in this section from all concerned government agencies. He or she shall plan, program, direct and perform all aspects of the city planning, engineering and community development processes. He or she shall perform such other duties as are assigned to or required of him or her by the Mayor and Council or otherwise provided by law.
