To provide certain minimum standards, provisions and requirements for safe and stable design, methods of construction, and uses of materials in buildings hereafter erected, constructed, enlarged, altered, repaired, relocated and converted, the International Building Code, 2018 Edition, printed in book or pamphlet form is hereby incorporated by reference in addition to all amended editions as though printed in full herein, except for Part IV, Energy Conservation, Chapter 13, Energy Efficiency, and except for Chapter 30, Elevators and Conveying Systems, insofar as such code does not conflict with the statutes of the state or the provisions of this chapter. One copy of the International Building Code, 2018 Edition is on file at the office of the City Clerk and is available for public inspection at any reasonable time. Additional copies shall be available for public dissemination at the office of the Chief Building Official and 1 copy available at the City Library reference section. The provisions of the Building Code shall be controlling throughout the city and within the 2-mile building and zoning jurisdiction.
