§ 111.01 REGISTRATION; REGULATION GENERALLY.
   To prevent the sale of fraudulent, dangerous and unhealthful goods and services, and to protect the public by maintaining records of the products sold and the persons and companies responsible for the sales, all peddlers and hawkers shall, before doing business within the city, register with the city’s Police Department. The registration shall contain all the necessary information and documents required for the protection of the residents of the city. Any person so registered shall be subject to any fees, occupation taxes and other rules and regulations which the governing body deems appropriate for the purposes stated in this section; provided, however, any such person shall always be required to furnish his or her state sales tax number.
