§ 95.20 DEFINITIONS.
   The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this subchapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning.
   ABANDONED VEHICLE. 
      (1)   A motor vehicle is an ABANDONED VEHICLE:
         (a)   If left unattended, with no license plates or valid In Transit stickers issued pursuant to the Motor Vehicle Registration Act affixed thereto, for more than 6 hours on any public property;
         (b)   If left unattended for more than 24 hours on any public property, except a portion thereof on which parking is legally permitted;
         (c)   If left unattended for more than 48 hours, after the parking of the vehicle has become illegal, if left on a portion of a public property on which parking is legally permitted;
         (d)   If left unattended for more than 7 days of private property if left initially without permission of the owner, or after permission of the owner shall be terminated;
         (e)   If left for more than 30 days in the custody of a city law enforcement agency after the agency has sent a letter to the last-registered owner under Neb. RS 60-1901; or
         (f)   If removed from private property by the city pursuant to a city ordinance or this code.
      (2)   An all-terrain vehicle or minibike is an ABANDONED VEHICLE:
         (a)   If left unattended for more than 24 hours on any public property, except a portion thereof on which parking is legally permitted;
         (b)   If left unattended for more than 48 hours, after the parking of such vehicle has become illegal, if left on a portion of any public property on which parking is legally permitted;
         (c)   If left unattended for more than 7 days on private property if left initially without permission of the owner, or after permission of the owner is terminated;
         (d)   If left for more than 30 days in the custody of a city law enforcement agency after the agency has sent a letter to the last-registered owner under Neb. RS 60-1901; or
         (e)   If removed from private property by the city pursuant to a city ordinance or this code.
   JUNK MOTOR VEHICLE. Any motor vehicle on which the engine, wheels or other parts have been removed, altered, damaged or otherwise so treated or allowed to deteriorate that the motor vehicle is incapable of being driven under its own motor power.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. All vehicles propelled by a power other than muscular power, except mopeds, farm tractors and other implements of husbandry designed for and used primarily for tilling the soil and harvesting crops, vehicles which run only on rails or tracks, off-road designed vehicles, including but not limited to golf carts, go-carts, riding lawnmowers, garden tractors, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and minibikes, and road and general purpose construction and maintenance machinery not designed or used primarily for the transportation of persons or property, including but not limited to ditch-digging apparatus, well-boring apparatus, asphalt spreaders, bucket loaders, leveling graders, earthmoving carry-alls, power shovels, earthmoving equipment and crawler tractors and self-propelled invalid chairs.
   PRIVATE PROPERTY. Any which is not included in public property, as defined in this section.
   PUBLIC PROPERTY. Any public right-of-way, street or highway, alley, park or other state, county or municipally owned property.
