§ 94.078 APPEALS OF ORDERS.
   If an order is made under this subchapter by 1 of the inspectors and not the Chief of the Fire Department, the owner or occupant may within 24 hours appeal to the Chief of the Fire Department, who shall, within 5 days, review the order and file his or her decision thereon; provided that, if the order requires compliance immediately, the Chief shall, on appeal of the owner or occupant, make immediate review of the order; and if the order requires compliance within any other period of time less than 15 days, he or she shall make review so that at least 24 hours are remaining after his or her determination before compliance is required. Unless by authority of the Chief the order is revoked, modified or extended, it shall remain in full force and be complied with within the time fixed in the order; provided that the owner or occupant may, within 5 days after making or affirming of any such order by the Chief, seek relief in the court having jurisdiction, during which proceedings the action of the city shall be stayed.
