§ 72.01 AUTHORITY TO INSTALL; STOP SIGNS.
   (A)   The City Engineer shall place and maintain official traffic control devices and markings, when and as required by resolution of the governing body under the traffic regulations of the city to make effective the provisions of the regulations, and may place and maintain such additional official traffic control devices and markings as he or she may deem necessary to regulate, warn or guide traffic under the traffic regulations of the city or the Nebraska Rules of the Road. The City Engineer may test experimental traffic control devices and markings under actual traffic conditions to ensure their feasibility and effectiveness.
   (B)   A current copy of the Council’s resolution relating to the placement of traffic control devices shall be kept in the office of the City Clerk at all times. The signs designated in this section are on the official stop sign map designating all stop signs within the city as adopted to date.
