§ 70.25 NOTICE TO VEHICLE OWNER UPON FAILURE TO PAY PARKING FINE.
   If a person accused of a violation of a motor vehicle parking ordinance or a duly established parking regulation, or of parking or stopping of a motor vehicle in violation of the Emergency Snow Ordinance of the city, does not appear before the Police Department within 5 days after the date of the issuance of the traffic citation, a letter shall be mailed to the last known address of the registered owner of the vehicle found to be in violation of the ordinance or regulation, setting forth the date and nature of the alleged offense, the disposition that can be made of the matter by appearing within 15 days of the issuance of the traffic citation, and that, if payment is not made prior to the expiration of the 15-day period from the issuance of the traffic citation, a complaint charging the violation will be filed by the City Prosecutor in the County Court.
