§ 52.026 DUTY OF POLICE TO REPORT VIOLATIONS OR WASTE OF WATER.
   It shall be the duty of the Chief of Police and police officers to report to the city all cases of leakage, waste or unnecessary profusion in the use of water; and they shall likewise report all violations of this chapter or any other ordinance relating to the waterworks that may be brought to their notice, and they shall enforce the observance of all such ordinances so far as they have authority to do so.
