5-1-4: MEETINGS; OFFICERS:
   (A)   The Fire Department shall hold monthly meetings as specified in the Department By Laws. Special meetings may be called by either the Fire Chief or the Business Manager. All meetings shall be conducted in a manner consistent with the North Pekin Fire Department bylaws.
   (B)   The Fire Officers shall consist of: Fire Chief; Assistant Chief and two (2) Captains. No Fire Officer shall be a member of the Village Board. The Administrative Officers shall consist of: Business Manager and Secretary- Treasurer. The election of officers shall be conducted in a manner consistent with North Pekin Fire Department bylaws. All Fire and Administrative Officers are selected at the business meeting in March each year and all the officers shall be installed after the Village Board approval at the May meeting each year, provided however, that the Fire Chief shall be approved by the Village Board before taking office.
   (C)   The Fire Chief and Business Manager shall each be elected for a two (2) year term. All other officers shall be elected for a one year term. (Ord. 1024, 12-17-2018; amd. Ord. 1047, 3-22-2021)
