(A) An auxiliary membership may be given to anyone who has been a past member of the department, or any other person who the department shall deem eligible, provided the member is not an active member of the department. The name of the prospective candidate for auxiliary shall be introduced at a regular business meeting and voted on by secret ballot. Once approved by the Fire Department, the prospective candidate for auxiliary shall be submitted to the Village Board for approval and appointment.
(B) An auxiliary member may hold a voice at business meetings but cannot carry a vote. An auxiliary member can help around station and with fundraisers and other department duties, but is not eligible to go on calls. Auxiliary members will not be eligible for compensation pay or incentive pay. (Ord. 965, 2-24-2014)
