(a) The Law Department of the City, as provided for in Article V, Section 2 of the City Charter, shall be headed by the Director of Law. The employees of the Department shall consist of up to four Assistant Directors of Law, an Administrative Secretary and up to three law clerks, all of whom shall be appointed by and under the supervision of the Director of Law. All of the Assistant Director of Law positions shall be part-time. Each of the assistant directors of law shall be an attorney in good standing with the Ohio Supreme Court and licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio. The law clerks shall be law students at an accredited law school, or graduates from an accredited law school.
(b) Up to one of the assistant directors of law shall be known as the Assistant Director of Law - Civil I, and up to two others shall be known as Assistant Directors of Law - Civil II. These Assistant Directors of Law shall primarily assist the Director of Law in the performance of his duties, and shall also, when necessary as determined by the Director of Law, assist the City Prosecutor. The duties of one of the two Assistant Directors of Law - Civil II shall be to serve as the City's Fair Housing Administrator and provide other and appropriate legal and related services to the City's Fair Housing Review Board. All of the time spent by this Assistant Director of Law - Civil II shall be spent on matters relating to the City's Fair Housing Program.
(c) Up to one Assistant Director of Law shall be known as the City Prosecutor. The City Prosecutor shall act on behalf of the City or the State of Ohio in the prosecution of felony and misdemeanor offenses occurring in the City of North Olmsted, and shall perform such other duties as are required by law of municipal prosecutors or as otherwise required by the Director of Law.
(d) The Administrative Secretary shall be a full-time position and shall provide secretarial and administrative services to the Law Department.
(e) The positions set forth herein constitute the staff and organization of the Department of Law. They are further identified as follows:
