Doors to the enclosures of interior stair exits shall be arranged to open from the stair side, on every floor, so that it will be possible to leave the stair enclosure should a fire render the lower part of the stair unusable during egress. All doors leading from individual suites in multiple family dwellings shall be equipped with self-closing devices.
