917.01 PURPOSE; DEFINITION.

(a) The purpose of this chapter is to establish certain guidelines and standards necessary for the control of industrial waste discharged into the City wastewater system in order to prevent the introduction of pollutants into the City wastewater system which could interfere with the normal operation of the system or contaminate the resulting sludge.

(b) References within Chapter 917 to "this chapter" shall be construed to include Chapter 911 also.
