§ 32.05 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT.
   The City Administrator may, in his or her discretion, create a Community Development Department. The head of this Department shall be the Community Development Director who shall be the City Administrator or such other person as may be designated by him or her or her. The functions of the Building Inspector (whose title in various codes shall include "Administrative Authority" and "Building Official") shall be under this Department. The duties of the Building Inspector shall be to carry out the provisions of the State Building Code and the City Code relating to construction. The other functions of this Department shall be such as are assigned to it by the City Administrator, including planning, zoning, platting, all other inspection and code enforcement services, together with such other activities as the City Administrator may determine.
