§ 73.40 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   PARKING SPACE. A space designed for use or used for the temporary parking of a motor vehicle and being not less than eight feet wide and 20 feet long exclusive of passageways.
   PUBLIC PARKING AREA. An area paved with a hard surface in accordance with the town specifications, formerly a tree lawn which has been converted to a parking area, designed for use or used for the temporary parking of motor vehicles and available for public use.
   TREE LAWN. The unimproved and untraveled portion of a street paralleling the roadway, which lies between the abutting property line and the traveled portion of the street.
