The purpose of this chapter is to establish a joint Cemetery Board with Penn Township for the purpose of maintaining two cemeteries in the Township, Ridgewood Cemetery in Section 1, and the historical cemetery situated in Section 17 (also known as the Alt Cemetery), pursuant to the authority vested in Section 359.36, Code of Iowa, and Chapter 28E, Code of Iowa, for the purpose of maintaining, improving, and supporting said Township cemeteries.
