(A) There is hereby created a position within the Department of Administration of the village to be known as the Superintendent of Parks. Such Superintendent of Parks will be the Village Administrator or any other qualified person selected by the Mayor and approved by the majority vote of the Council.
(B) The Superintendent of Parks shall be charged with the care and maintenance of all public grounds and the supervision of all labor connected with the care and development of the public grounds, and shall perform such other duties as may from time to time be prescribed.
(C) In the completion of duties, the Superintendent of Parks shall employ such persons that are necessary, subject to the approval of Council and Mayor. In addition, the Superintendent of Parks may appoint an advisory council consisting of six members to assist in the performance of duties as Park Superintendent.
