(a) No person shall knowingly carry or have upon his person any deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance while upon public lands or in public buildings of the Village.
(b) This section does not apply to:
(1) Persons involved in specific activities requiring the use of any deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance when such activity has received prior approval of Council of the Village; and
(2) Law enforcement officers acting within the scope of their duties.
(c) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree.
