(A) The Town Superintendent is appointed by the Town Council to manage the public facilities that make up the town. The Town Superintendent shall serve at the pleasure of the Town Council.

(B) The duties of the Town Superintendent shall include:
(1) Responsibility and direct control, operation, and maintenance of the municipal water and sewer facilities;
(2) Responsibility and direct control, operation, and maintenance of all other town property, improvements, and equipment; and
(3) Duties customarily assumed by a Town Superintendent of a similarly sized and situated community.

(C) The Town Superintendent’s salary shall be in an amount as set from time to time by the Town Council.
