The powers and duties of the Clerk-Treasurer under this chapter include, but may not be limited to, the following:
(A) The collection, preservation, and payment of all money, funds, securities, obligations, and property of any kind related to cemetery purposes;
(B) Protection, care, and control of the town cemeteries and the sanctity of the dead;
(C) Regulation, prohibition, and supervision of interments and disinterments;
(D) Authorization and supervision of the removal of buried bodies to some other place;
(E) Authorization and supervision of improvement and grading of grounds and lots;
(F) Authorization and supervision of placements of monuments and headstones on cemetery lots;
(G) Authorization and supervision of erection of corner posts on cemetery lots; and
(H) Authorization and supervision and direction of any improvement to or labor upon any lot by private persons.
