SECTION 18.05   COMPENSATION AND BONDS; INCREASES OR DECREASES DURING TERM; TRAVEL EXPENSES.
   The Council shall have the power to fix the salaries of its members and of all other officers and employees of the Municipality, whether elected or appointed, and to establish such bonds as in the opinion of the Council are necessary, for the faithful discharge of their duties. All employees of this Municipality shall have the right, annually, to negotiate their wages and working conditions. The premium of any bond required by the Council shall be paid by the Municipality. The salary of an elected officer shall not be increased during his or her term of office, nor decreased during such term except with the consent of the officer involved. If the office is elective, the salary shall be fixed at least one hundred and twenty (120) days prior to the date of the next Municipal election. The Council may authorize the payment or reimbursement to any officer or employee of reasonable expenses related to any Municipal purpose. (Amended November 6, 1984; Amended November 6, 2012)
