143.07 COURT TIME.
   (a)    Full-time police officers appearing in North College Hill Mayor's Court shall receive two hours pay at overtime rates for each calendar date spent in that court, regardless of the time actually spent. (Ord. 31-1980. Passed 5-19-80.)
   (b)   Full-time police officers may receive compensatory time off for each court appearance other than in North College Hill Mayor's Court. "Court appearance" as used in this paragraph includes any of the following: municipal, common pleas, juvenile, federal, civil, and mayors' courts other than North College Hill's, time spent at the prosecutor's office and at grand jury session. Court time credit shall be cumulative by the calendar year and compensatory time off therefor shall be granted at times approved by the department head.
      (1)   Full-time officers may elect to receive pay in lieu of compensatory time off, except at termination when an officer must accept payment for compensatory time accumulated rather than taking time off.
      (2)    Compensatory time off shall not cumulate from year to year.

   (c)   Notwithstanding the provisions of subsections (a) and (b) hereof, a police officer who appears or attends any court during his regularly scheduled shift shall not receive more than his regular rate of pay. (Ord. 31-1980. Passed 5-19-80.)
