1125.06 UNSAFE AND UNLAWFUL SIGNS.
   If the Building Commissioner finds that any sign or other advertising structure regulated in the Zoning Ordinance is unsafe or insecure, or is a menace to the public, or has been constructed or erected or is being maintained in violation of the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance, he shall give written notice to the owner or person having beneficial use of the premises. If the owner or person having beneficial use of the premises fails to remove or alter the structure so as to comply with the standards of the Zoning Ordinance within ten days after receipt of such notice the sign or other advertising structure may be removed or altered to comply by the Building Commissioner at the expenses of the owner or person having beneficial use of the property upon which the sign or advertising structure is located. The Building Commissioner shall refuse to issue any further certificates to any owner or person having beneficial use of the property who refuses to pay costs so assessed. The Building Commissioner may cause any sign or advertising structure which is an immediate peril to persons or property to be removed summarily and without notice.
